Regardless of how you look at it Andre Ayew will only be involved in four, and hopefully five more games this championship season. The reason as many know is his contract ends at the end of May making him a free agent. At 32 at the end of this year some will say he has one relatively big move left in him, and he will go to the highest bidder, others we know are thinking, how do we keep him at Swansea ? Routledge is the difference again - as Swansea City win away again ! Tue 13th Apr 2021 20:55
It was another very decent display by the swans with Wayne Routledge once again starring for the second away game in a row. The swans took all three points at Hillsborough, and will maintain all is not lost in the chase for second place. It wasn’t pretty, in fact again it was quite frustrating, but overall any win away from home at this stage of the season is most welcome. On seventy five points now, the play offs regardless of the maths is almost certainly guaranteed.

The last two months haven’t made pleasant reading for the swans, it hasn’t been at all good. However, the race is on and of the swans fail, they will only have themselves to blame.

This wasn’t the be all and end all of games, it wasn’t even a defining moment in the season that has seen the swans in contention again for the premier league. What it was last night on the south coast of England was confirmation that Swansea City, despite their desire to win every game possible haven’t got the tools to do so. The swans will make the play offs but any more matches like the one we witnessed last night in Bournemouth, and indeed at Huddersfield and it will be another tale of so close but so far.
